Introducing Some of the Inspiring Women Speaking at #USACEWomen

A diverse range of expert speakers, including female founders and leading women across the fields of business, government, and social impact will highlight the #USACEWomen speaker lineup.
Polish & American Women Entrepreneurs and Cultural Vistas are delighted to announce some of the inspiring women who will be among the featured speakers at the USA-Central Europe Women in Business Summit taking place at the Tribeca Rooftop on Thursday, October 17 in Lower Manhattan.
Alaina Percival, co-founder and CEO of Women Who Code, will be among the many inspiring women to take to the stage throughout the daylong Summit. As the head of a global nonprofit dedicated to inspiring women to excel in technology careers, Alaina leads an organization of over 180,000 women in 20 countries and 60 cities across the globe. Alaina is also an angel investor, a Venture Partner at Valor Ventures, and a CodePath Advisor.
Jo Ann Corkran, managing director at angel investing platform Golden Seeds, will recount some of her experiences from the world of investment banking and 20-plus years on Wall Street. She will speak about financing and provide a deep dive into funding options for companies at varying stages of growth across sectors.
Astri Kimball Van Dyke, DC-based Senior Counsel of Government Affairs at Google, will share and demonstrate the skills it takes to work at the legal intersection of government and one of the world’s largest companies.
Cynthia Soledad, Co-Lead on Global Diversity & Inclusion at Egon Zehnder, will open up a discussion on diversity as a tool for organizational growth. She will be joined on stage by fellow proponents of workplace diversity like A.J. Twombly, a Customer Success Manager at LinkedIn and Lidia Marcinkowska-Bartkowiak, Executive Director for Communications at Polish multinational corporation KGHM.
Influential women from outside the private sector will also be in attendance at our Summit. These will include Anastasia Xenias, Senior International Trade Specialist and Global Team Leader at the U.S. Commercial Service, as well as Nancy Ploeger, Co-Founder of the IWEC Foundation.
We are especially honored to also be hosting the founders of important startups from across Poland and the USA. Our Summit will hear from inspiring founders like Ivana Hronova, the principal co-founder of the travel-booking app Travel A la carte, and Emily Conrad, the President and Co-Founder of Tessellate Studio—an architectural, exhibit, and experience design studio with roots in technology. Magda Kordon, the founder and CEO of intoDNA, will share her insights from leading a team of scientists working on technology to improve DNA damage detection. You also won’t want to miss Johanna Joch, the Head of U.S. Operations at Speechagain—a cloud-based digital stuttering therapy program that helps treat people who stutter by utilizing artificial intelligence and speech recognition analysis.
Business leaders from Fortune 500 companies and more than 300 individuals representing governments, and international associations supporting women in business are expected to attend on October 17.
