Central European #FemaleFounders to Share Insights at Summit
Thanks to startups and high-achieving women entrepreneurs that have driven the economy and development for several years, Central Europe is booming through growth that can no longer be contained within Europe.
Several of these transatlantic startup founders will be joining us at the USA-Central Europe Women in Business Summit on October 17, and we expect that they will be among the highlights of the entire event. They will be featured at 2:45 p.m. during our final panel on “Starting & Scaling Up.”
Female Founders Making Waves on Both Sides of the Pond
Among the exciting founders attending our Summit will be Dr. Magdalena Kordon, the CEO and founder of intoDNA. Magda is one of the inventors of STRIDE, the proprietary technology of intoDNA which precisely detects highly sensitive DNA damage. Together with her team, she was the overall winner of the BioCity UK DEVELOP acceleration program in June 2018.
Also joining us will be Ivana Hronová, Principal Cofounder of Travel A la Carte—an all-in-one mobile app for travel booking which includes an integrated digital wallet and an AI-based travel agent. Also the founder of digital agency Arta&Design, Ivana is always thinking about what’s next. She is interested in exploring financial technology for millennial and Generation Z. Read Ivana’s interview with Kafkadesk.
Rating the Summit in real time will be startup founder Eva Baskova, the CEO & Co-Founder of Event Advisor—an online platform helping people find events around the globe based on the actual feedback of attendees. Long before events like our Summit, Eva grew tired of being the only woman in the room at meetings and startup competitions. This led her to also co-found Trust Women—an organization with the aim of supporting cooperation and trust among professional women.
We are also pleased to welcome Lujza Bubanova, Founder of YouFirst.ai—a tool which allows pretesting videos by extracting unbiased emotional responses from facial expressions using a powerful emotional AI program. Listen to Lujza talk about YouFirst.ai on the Women in Tech Podcast. A former professional golfer, Lujza has not yet found her hole-in-one with startup ventures. In addition to youFirst.ai, she also co-founded the Startupism San Francisco conference and Divano—a backend solution for TV broadcasters to avoid ad-break drop off.
Women Entrepreneurs with a Transatlantic Voice
Joining the startup founders will be influential women who have helped establish existing companies across the Atlantic.
When Johanna Joch, the VP and General Manager of Speechagain, moved from Germany to New York, she brought Speechagain with her and helped the company emerge on the USA market through participation in the German Accelerator Tech program. Learn more about Johanna’s journey here. As Johanna continues to demonstrate her transatlantic voice as an international executive, her company is working to give speech again to people who struggle with stuttering.
As a former Fulbright Fellow, Zsuzsanna Gedeon, Chief of Staff at GIVZ knows about the value of giving back. Originally from Hungary, Zsuzsanna now works in New York for GIVZ—a donation platform designed to make donating to charity easier.
Finally, as firm believers in the idea that giving women a voice and platform is a powerful driver of economic development, we are especially pleased to welcome Nancy Ploeger, Executive Vice President and co-founder of International Women’s Entrepreneurial Challenge Foundation (IWEC). Long before the USA-Central Europe Women in Business Summit, Nancy was working for years to empower successful women business owners from around the world to expand their business reach into new markets and geographies through education, connectivity, and mentoring. We can think of no one better than Nancy to serve as the moderator for our afternoon panel.
We are absolutely honored to have so many wonderful and inspiring speakers joining us at the USA-Central Europe Women in Business Summit.
There’s still time for you to join us.
