As Chief Representative, Edit was responsible for developing relationships between the Central Bank of Hungary, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and other financial regulatory authorities. She also liaised with US Banks, FinTech Firms, and academia. Throughout her tenure, she advocated for investing in Eastern Europe and promoting business opportunities in the region.
Edit started her career as an assistant professor at the University of Szeged before joining the European Commission Delegation in Budapest where she advised Hungarian businesses in their preparation for entering the European Single Market.
Prior to being posted to New York, Edit worked for the Central Bank of Hungary in different management positions, being responsible for relations with EU institutions and international organizations.
Edit has a master’s degree in economics and business administration and completed a PhD program in the same subject. She has three children and is a passionate tennis player.
