Magda is the CEO and a founder of intoDNA. She is also an alum and, together with her team, she was the overall winner of the BioCity UK DEVELOP acceleration programme in June 2018. She has a research background in biophysics, cell biology and the fields of biology of cell nucleus, DNA damage repair and CRISPR-Cas biology. She earned her Masters and PhD in cell biophysics at Jagiellonian University in Kraków, in Poland. She was also a visiting PhD student at UC Davis, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and UMass Medical School in the US. She is one of the inventors of a novel platform technology STRIDE for precise, super sensitive DNA damage detection. STRIDE is the proprietary technology of intoDNA – a service-offering company that is concurrently developing the technology with its numerous applications, including its use in the process of development of genotoxic anticancer drugs. Magda’s heart belongs to science and technology, but when not in the lab, you will find her playing the violin and devoting herself to music.
